Review: Years later...on Facebook

Years later...on Facebook by Jupinderjit Singh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Blurb -

This book is a collection of short-stories and Middles. It begins with the tale of a man who meets a childhood flame on Facebook. The story 'Safety-Pin 'talks about a career woman, who seeks to peep outside marriage. The range of stories takes you from voyeuristic men in a gym, and another in a train, to those taking on 'love jihad', you will find something that teases a thought. From the love story of two canines at the Indo-pak border to nature's effort to erase the borders through 'Peepal no 18'; to gun-firing in Poonch; to the serene silence of Ladakh, the book will offer food for thought to travellers as well. In fact, with glimpses of Istanbul, London, Kashmir and Rajasthan, these stories are sure to make an interesting accompaniment to your travels!

My views -

Years later... on Facebook by Jupinderjit Singh is an collection of 34 short stories which are mostly emotional ones. From the title I thought it was some series of stories where facebook connects each people after long time but it deals with various sensitive issues to most emotional stories.

Book cover is a sketched one where a boy follows a girl in cycle it is the theme of first short story alike this each story got a sketch which replicates the theme. I must say as I enjoyed it and made easy to understand the story.

Even though stories and sketching made me to engaged in reading but constant grammatical errors and punctual errors keep appearing to my eyes. Editing is strongly recommended in next edition and I want to clear that it was not mistake of author as author done with writing beautifully, mistake must be of editing side.

Overall, This novel is a good one as writing short story is much complicated than full pledged novel because here you needs to convey the story very shortly and here author done that well. I hope grammatical errors are negligible because of it is editable in next editions.
